Director of Public Safety Fred Aliberti was one of four community members honored at the fourth annual Albany Police Athletic League (PAL) Breakfast of Champions held April 18 at the Albany 
Marriott.
Fred was inducted into PAL’s Hall of Fame along with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Condon and Mona Golub, from Price Chopper/Market 32 Supermarkets.
Fred was very active with PAL when he served as a member of the Albany Police Department. After a 20-year career, he retired from the APD in 2008 and took on his current position here at the college.
The Albany Police Athletic League’s work began in 1988, with the goal of creating a community bond between the youth and law enforcement of Albany. Since 1988, PAL volunteers have cultivated strong relationships between the law enforcement community and the youngest generations of Albany. PAL programs serve approximately 2,000 Albany youth every year.
